Job Description An opportunity has arisen within Neighbourhoods, Regeneration and Sustainability for an Advocacy Worker (C&YP) to join our ASSIST Service’s Children & Young Persons team on a fixed-term basis until 31 March 2027, based on Scottish Government funding. Position Details Established in 2004, ASSIST (Advocacy Support Safety Information Services Together) is a specialist domestic abuse court advocacy service that supports people whose partner, or ex-partner, has a domestic abuse case going through the criminal court. Whilst part of Glasgow City Council, ASSIST support people in Argyll and Bute, Ayrshire (East, North, and South), Dumfries and Galloway, Glasgow, Dunbartonshire (East and West), Inverclyde, Lanarkshire, and Renfrewshire (including East Renfrewshire). Our Advocacy Workers (C&YP) provide advocacy and support services to the children of survivors of domestic abuse who are referred to ASSIST following a domestic incident.
